Tattoo Removal

Safe and Effective Tattoo Removal Services

Tattoos can be a beautiful human expression but as our lives change, tattoo regret takes over. Erase unwanted tattoos and pigment with Revlite, the most clinically proven laser treatment available for safe and effective tattoo removal.

Revlite targets unwanted ink with very rapid, short-duration pulses of energy, successfully removing difficult ink colors while limiting healthy tissues’ exposure to thermal damage. The Revlite can even treat difficult ink colors, such as black, red, blue, and green. Safety, short recovery time, and fast results are achievable with Revlite. Give us a call at Yuma Laser Center to schedule your free patient consultation.

How It Works

Laser energy is gently applied to the skin over the tattooed area. The laser shatters each ink particle into a much smaller particle that can be eliminated through your body’s natural process. Through a series of treatments, the tattoo will fade and ultimately disappear. You may notice an immediate fading. Generally, tattoo removal will take place in a series of treatments (think in terms of braces). The number of treatments depends on the color and density of the ink, the age of the tattoo, along with the location of your body. There will be 4 to 6 weeks in between each treatment. During this period, you will notice fading and may visually see ink trails being absorbed into the body.

FAQs

How big is a square inch?

A square inch is about the size of a postage stamp. A business card is six square inches. Multiply the length and width of your tattoo to determine its size in square inches. We charge $50 per square inch per visit with a minimum of $90 for tattoo removal.

My tattoo has a lot of colors. Can these be removed?

Most of the time, yes. While we use state-of-the-art lasers and modern techniques, some colors may require more treatments. Black ink is the easiest color to remove. Red and green are the most difficult to remove and may require multiple treatments. They can usually be removed by the technology we are using, but some colors may not be removable such as certain shades of purple, yellow, pink, and white.

Will it be gone after my first treatment?

No. The number of treatments your tattoo requires is determined by different factors. On average, tattoos are removed between 5 to 15 treatments.

I had a treatment a week ago, and it seems all healed. Can I come back sooner than four weeks?

Healing is not the reason for the spacing of your treatments. The laser itself does not remove the ink; it only breaks it up into small particles so your body’s immune system can naturally remove it. If you treat your tattoo more than the prescribed number, the laser is simply targeting the ink your body hasn’t naturally removed yet. Meaning, you pay more for the same result.

What does laser tattoo removal feel like?

For many patients, the feeling of laser tattoo removal has been compared to what it feels like when getting a tattoo, however it is very fast. Your practitioner will work with you on the best comfort option based on your individual situation.

How will my skin look after laser treatments?

The ideal clinical endpoint for the tattoo treatment is immediate slight whitening or “frosting” of the skin, however that will subside immediately after the treatment is complete. Other observable effects include mild swelling and redness. Your practitioner will direct you on how best to keep the area moist to optimize the quality of surrounding skin

How much does a tattoo removal cost?

The cost of laser tattoo removal depends on several factors, including the size of the tattoo and the number of treatments it will require. Most insurance companies will not cover laser tattoo removal since it is considered and elective cosmetic procedure.
